Butterflies are such unique creatures. From the egg phase to transformation into a beautiful butterfly is quite remarkable. According to the Butterfly Conservation, the lifecycle of a butterfly includes the following;
1.) Egg
2.) Caterpillar (Larva)
3.) Pupa (Chrysalis)
4.) Adult (Butterfly)
Thus, the butterfly goes through three stages to become a butterfly. Each phase of its lifecycle is equally important. If a step is skipped, it won’t reach its destination. Similarly, in life, everyone’s life story is different from childhood to adulthood. Most have had to overcome. Overcoming an obstacle, bad habits, or a difficult relationship—there are countless moments in life where we must persevere.
For a long time, I was prideful. One may believe that pride isn’t something prudent to overcome. However, for me, it was a huge roadblock to my transformation. My pride brought forth ugly qualities of comparisons, boastfulness, gossip and anything that made me feel good about myself. It wasn’t until a few years ago where my life took such a turn that brought forth great humility. My career changed and I was back to where I never dreamed of going. This change forced me to learn some new things and I felt as if I was starting all over again. I had no choice but to turn to who has always been there; God. I was vulnerable and my pride shriveled up to nothing. God inevitably did what had to be done to ensure my transformation. It was time for me to step into who God made me to be and I was finally ready.
The gift of overcoming is learning and growth, which ultimately leads to transformation. Just as a butterfly must navigate its way through each stage to emerge fully formed, we too must face our challenges head-on. Each phase of life’s journey teaches us valuable lessons and helps us grow into our full potential. Below are steps to overcoming:
1.) Pray. God is the ultimate one who will see you through any obstacles in life. God is the creator of all.
2.) Be open to change. Don’t let anyone or anything stunt your growth.
3.) Give yourself grace. The most beautiful things in life take time.
4.) Be bold in doing good during your growth journey.
Overall, it’s through these experiences that we gain the resilience and strength to transform. Just as the caterpillar must endure the chrysalis stage to become a butterfly, we must go through our own metamorphosis. This transformation is not always easy, but it is always worth it.
Our personal growth parallels the butterfly’s transformation. By overcoming life’s obstacles, we learn, grow, and ultimately transform into the best versions of ourselves. Embrace the journey, trust the process, and look forward to the beautiful transformation that awaits.
Be empowered, you are loved by God and a beautiful creation. Until next time, take care of yourself and others.

That was the best exclamation I’ve ever heard of how a butterfly transforms and how it relates to human life absolutely awesome
